I've been trying hard to keep up with my school work since I got homebound. It's extremely difficult. Not only am I sitting here trying to do work and watch my daughter but I'm watching my little brother to. I am determined though to catch up and do great with my Globaloria. I have worked on the team page today and I made time to blog. Hopefully my time spent on this will increase greatly soon. I don't enjoy dissapointing people and thatss what I feel as if I'm doing. Some things I am assigned are difficult. I'm not as informed on this stuff as others but I do my best and try my hardest. That is all that matters.

Flash Game

The team has started working at full speed and I will have to say that I am impressed with the pregress. I just finished the screen select adn grassy field. Soon Shawn will add the actionscript and Autumn will do the help page and we will be that much closer to completion.

Snow Snow Go Away...

It has been snowing like crazy out here for weeks. I'm going to go crazy. I like snow but too much of a good thing is bad. Snow days are wonderful but now everyone is lost behind. This is the biggest winter I think I have ever seen. Hopefully things will clear up soon though.

New Assignment

We are beginning a new assignment where we get to teach the class. Each student has been given a topic and we get to make a powerpoint showing how to do it. Mine is merging files.... I don't know how to do it so I will be learning as well.

The blog topic for the day is, What is your favorite game and why, then follow up with how your game is going to be incorporating those components. My favorite game, of course, would have to be the Sims games. I love how it can be personalized so well to where you are unique in one way or another. It also lets you live a life away from your own where you can do just about anything. You can make different mistakes and everyone of those mistakes has a lesson to be learned from it. I would like our game to have real life situations in recycling that are different. Their should be multiple characters to choose from and definately some mistakes to learn from.

I am very lost and it seems as if my teammates are gone. I'm getting no reply's. Hmmmm. I hope we all keep a good grade. Because of my not being in school very often I'm not sure how to do certain things and I don't know what jobs need to be done. TEAMMATES if you read this WHAT'S GOING ON?!?! NEED HELP!!!

Such a long break....

After a LONG 3 week Christmas break we have returned to school and began our busy schedule. Wikis and blogs must be updated and our videos need to be completed. Its a lot to do but with this crew it should be no problem at all. I just wish the temperatures would go back up and the snow would go away.

It's been a long, hard week and we have only made it half way through. Hopefully the rest of the week flies by. The editing is kind of rough and the flash has its ups and downs, but nothing is too difficult.

Yesterday was a very horrible day. We waited for what seemed like forever for the globaloria man of West Virginia to show up and he never did. Our poor little hearts are broken. Boo hoo.

My team and I have just finished the filming part of our dress code video. Now the editing begins. I have a feeling though that in the end we will have a very good video that will top them all.

Back from Break

Thanksgiving break was extremely nice but it's good to be back to school educating myself. Since I've been back we've been working really hard on our dress code video and I just completed my winter survey for Globaloria. I hope we have more fun in the weeks to come.

Paper Prototyping

Lately we have been doing a bit of paper prototyping. I like it. It's a great way to get your ideas together and set up your game before using technology. It shouldn't be long now before we begin the creation of our wonderful game.

Well today is the end of the 1st nine weeks and grades must go in. I am trying to get everything in perfect shape because a good grade is time well spent. Blogs, learning logs, and everything we've been working on needs to be up to date, I believe I've pretty much have it all together.

I found out that I am a right side of the brain kind of person. I prefer visual instructions, rock music, reading, and I'm pretty good at math. There's other things being the right sight of the brain means, but it's a lot too list. It's interesting finding things like this out.

I do believe that his mother had the right to take his phone away. Obviously that boy needs some anger management and a check with reality. It is not right for you to attack your family because your in trouble. Maybe others will look at what this boy did and learn from his mistakes like I hope he has.

The Day Of Today.

Today we went to all our classmates wiki's and commented them. We told them what was missing and any tips we thought they should know. It was fun! I learned how to put pictures on my page which was amazing! My Gaara is really cute. Well until the next time. TOOTLES!

Last week was long. We worked on flash and learned to make buttons. This week I don't know what we'll do but whatever is in store for us I'm sure will be wonderful and exciting! Until then I bid you farewell.

This week we have been on wiki exploring the different genres of games. We found that their are many types of games including, educational, role playing, shooter, life simulation, and platform. Our job was to pick out games under each of the genres and examine them to find out which kind we liked and get the general knowledge of each kind.
One game that I really liked was named medical mysteries. The imaging was great and it taught you a lot even if you did not notice that is what it was doing. It shows you about 6 different common types of germs. You learn the medicine you can take incase you would be infected with that germ, illnesses that form from that specific germ, and ways to prevent being infected.

Today we are continuing with playing games and commenting them on our wiki pages. So far I've found a couple good games and a few bad but i will keep playing them, good and bad.

Today is September 11th, the anniversary of a very bad event. Eight years from today our country was struck with a very horrible event. It affected the lives of many. I think we're making a good recovery and no matter what we are struck with everyone will stay strong and make it through whatever is dished out.

*We've only been in school for 2 weeks but already so much has been done. In just this class we've taken our surveys, made 2 videos for the Robotics team, and our accounts have been set up. I'm really enjoying school and I hope there is more fun to come.*
